My services to you

Within Kigali, we begin our Nyamirambo walk from Chap Chap restaurant which is about 100 metres from the green mosque called Onatracom along the way to the regional stadium. Before we start you will offered small snacks and drinks.

While we walk together, you will be able to get first hand experience of urban life in Nyamirambo, the most pulsating district in Kigali.

Outside Kigali there are other fantastic tourist attractions that you should really see. If you like longer walks, hiking or biking book a tour leading to the Congo Nile Trail, or the Volcanoes National Park.

Why can you trust me as your guide?

You – as a tourist in Kigali – are going to spend  a couple of hours with me. Let me introduce myself  as your guide on your “Kigali on Foot” trip.

I was born in Kigali, in the very place of our walk tour. That area is also known as a place where people never sleep, very busy all the time, more vibrant and mainly inhabited by Muslims. By the way, the Muslim community saved a lot of lives during the genocide in 1994.

I became a tourist guide after completing a training program offered by NWC in 2014. I have being working as a tourist guide since then not only for NWC, but for other companies as well. My cousine is a member of this self-supporting group, and since my childhood I have seen how hard they worked to make ends meet. NWC was extremely determined to educate women and their dependents. I was blessed having had that opportunity.

Knyarwanda is a phonetic language, pronunciation is the same as the writing. Accent is usually on the second syllable. You will get a printed list as a courtesy of NWC.
